What is a flame-retardant grade? An explanation of flame-retardant performance and flame-retardant elastomers.

Introducing "flame retardant grade" and two-color molding using flame-retardant elastomers!

Plastics are widely used in electronic devices and medical components, so the aspect of "flammability" (i.e., flame retardancy) is an important indicator for ensuring safety. In evaluating the flammability of plastics, we look not only at "non-combustibility," which means they do not catch fire at all, but also at characteristics such as "self-extinguishing," where the fire goes out when removed from the heat source, and "slow-burning," where the combustion rate is slow even if ignited. Even silicone rubber, which is generally considered to be flame-resistant, is a material that lacks self-extinguishing properties and continues to burn once ignited. Therefore, to achieve practical levels of flame retardancy, flame retardants are added to slow down the combustion rate or impart self-extinguishing characteristics. *For more detailed information, please refer to the related links. What are thermoplastic elastomers with the characteristics of rubber used in residential building materials?

We have compiled a table introducing the main applications of "plastic thermoplastic elastomers," which excel in elasticity and stretchability, as well as their usage in our company!

Thermoplastic elastomers refer to elastomers that soften and become flowable when heat is applied, and return to a rubber-like state upon cooling. Our company specializes in the extrusion molding of various resins and thermoplastic elastomers, ranging from rigid resins to gel-like soft resins, which are used in various fields. We have compiled easy-to-understand materials that explain the types and applications of "plastics and thermoplastic elastomers" that you may think you know but actually don't! ★ Please leave the extrusion of resins and elastomers to us. [Contents] ■ Types of thermoplastic elastomers ■ Main applications in extrusion ■ Our track record of use *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
