Solution to the "burning smell from the laser cutter" issue in the office!
**Introduction of Improvement Case**
Laser processing machine, solved the issue of combustion odor!
**Background of Improvement**
Our company is located on the 6th floor of an office building. During operation, the laser processing machine generates laser combustion gas. As a countermeasure, a deodorizing machine is connected as an auxiliary facility, but since it is an office building, the only window that can be opened is an emergency window with a gap of 13 cm. Particularly, there are no dedicated exhaust ducts, and the deodorized air has a faint odor in the room, necessitating further measures.
**Improvement Conditions**
1. Address the 13 cm gap of the emergency opening window.
2. Prevent odor leakage from the bottom opening of the main body of the laser processing machine, as it is not completely sealed.
3. Air drawn in by the cooling fan for the laser emitter is discharged to the back after cooling the internal heat dissipation plate.
**Improvement Measures**
1. Convert the upper part of the main body and the intake fan section into a snorkel duct to collect and draw in the odor leaking from the main body.
2. Install a box cover on the back of the main body and force exhaust with two exhaust fans connected by ducting.
3. Utilize the 13 cm gap at the bottom of the emergency opening window to connect a dust collector exhaust duct and an additional duct for external exhaust.
**Improvement Effect**
After confirmation with the building manager, the laser processing machine can be operated in the office.
