RoHS Directive Benkan Kiko
Are welded pipe fittings related to the RoHS directive? What about the certification?
What is the RoHS Directive? The RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances, commonly known as RoHS) Directive is a directive enacted by the European Union (EU) in July 2006 that restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. The RoHS Directive aims to ensure that electrical and electronic equipment does not contain hazardous substances, primarily to facilitate recycling under the WEEE Directive and to prevent harm to humans and the environment when such equipment is disposed of through landfill or incineration. Based on the official gazette published in June 2015, it has been decided that, starting from July 2019, four new types of phthalate esters will be added as restricted substances. *The WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment, commonly known as WEEE) Directive is a directive by the European Union (EU) concerning waste electrical and electronic products.
