[Case Study] Switching to Forged Products by Adjusting Head Height Accuracy
Even things that are difficult to realize can achieve precision management by utilizing CAD data!
We would like to introduce a case study of improvements in the machining of mechanical parts proposed by Naox Co., Ltd. When we received the drawing for the upper roller and attempted to process it, we found that there were no detailed specifications on the drawing. The situation required high precision for assembly on the customer’s side, but there was significant variation due to the welded parts. Thanks to our proposal, it became possible to manufacture high-precision products. 【Case Study】 ■ Issues - Request from a mechanical parts machining manufacturer - We received the drawing for the upper roller and attempted to process it, but there were no detailed specifications on the drawing - The situation required high precision for assembly on the customer’s side, but there was significant variation due to the welded parts ■ Naox's Initiatives - Converted the drawing into CAD data and incorporated precision inspection drawings - Through the creation of software to visualize and monitor production changes, we discovered that forged parts could be processed with higher precision than welded parts - Proposed to the client to switch to forged parts to achieve the required precision *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
