TRES LOCK Series Vibration Impact Test

Introducing the content of the "vibration impact test" that achieves high loosening prevention performance.

The "vibration impact test" is used to determine the loosening prevention performance. It repeatedly applies impacts perpendicular to the bolt axis on bolts and nuts tightened in a vibration barrel to investigate the occurrence of loosening. Based on the results of this test, we provide not only the performance of the loosening prevention but also assurance and trust in various vibration scenarios. [Test Items] ■ Frequency ■ Excitation Stroke ■ Impact Stroke ■ Vibration Acceleration of the Excitation Table *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

ASTM D5265 Bridge Impact Test

We can accommodate the "Bridge Impact Test" specified in ASTM D5265.

The "Bridge Impact" test is designed to verify whether collisions or drops of other cargo or objects onto your own cargo will cause holes in the box or damage to the contents. This test is primarily specified for long-length cargo. It is defined by testing standards such as ASTM D4169, ASTM D7386, ISTA-3A, and ISTA-3B, all of which refer to ASTM D5265 for the equipment used and basic procedures. In the test, the long-length cargo is placed on support blocks resembling "geta teeth" positioned under both ends, and an "impactor" or "hazard box," which is a collision body with specified material, mass, and shape, is dropped from a predetermined height onto the test specimen in a somewhat unique manner. ▼ For more details, please download the PDF document (recommended). ▼ If you need assistance urgently, please contact us through the 'Inquiry' section below.

Thermal shock test

First introduction of a large-capacity elevator-type thermal shock device for European automobile manufacturers!

The resistance of the test sample to temperature changes is evaluated by alternately exposing it to high and low temperature environments for short periods. Rapid temperature changes can be repeatedly applied to check for cracks or failures in the test sample. 【Equipment Overview】 ■ Air Chamber Type Thermal Shock Device Automatically switches the airflow into the test area using dampers to continuously apply thermal shock. ■ Humidity Thermal Shock Device A testing device capable of conducting cold and heat cycle tests as well as condensation cycles. ■ Elevating Thermal Shock Device *Newly Introduced The test area has two zones (high temperature and low temperature) that can be moved up and down, allowing for quick attainment of the set temperature and reduction of test time. With internal dimensions of 650x650x650, it has specifications suitable for testing for European automotive manufacturers. ■ Others Also capable of conducting splash water tests.

Vibration / Shock Test

Multiple composite environmental vibration testing machines and large composite environmental vibration testing machines are available for use.

Vibration testing simulates the usage and transportation environments to verify whether the product can perform its functions. Products that are not affected by vibrations during normal use still need to consider the vibrations experienced during transportation. 【Equipment Overview】 ● Combined Environmental Vibration Test System Simultaneously or individually controls three environmental conditions: "vibration," "temperature," and "humidity," applying environmental stress to the test samples. This allows for testing that aligns with actual environmental conditions, resulting in more reliable tests. ● Vibration Test System Main tests include sinusoidal vibration tests, random vibration tests, and shock tests to confirm vibration resistance performance. ● Shock Test System Capable of generating various pulse types (positive half sine, sawtooth, trapezoidal) for the required shock action duration. ● Drop Test System Can securely hold test samples weighing up to 5 kg in any orientation, allowing for stable free-fall tests.

Liquid tank thermal shock test

Supports high temperatures up to 180℃! Effective for testing and evaluating automotive and high-temperature electronic components and other heat-resistant parts.

At AITES Co., Ltd., we conduct "Liquid Tank Thermal Shock Testing." This testing method applies stress due to temperature changes using a liquid medium, and because the temperature changes are more abrupt than those in chamber-type thermal shock tests, it is an effective method for conducting tests in a short period. Our equipment can accommodate a maximum high temperature of up to 180°C, making it suitable for accelerated testing of high-heat-resistant components and materials. 【Features】 ■ Capable of handling maximum temperatures up to 180°C ■ Effective for testing and evaluating high-heat-resistant components ■ More abrupt temperature changes than chamber-type thermal shock tests ■ Effective for conducting tests in a short period *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Charpy impact test

A method for evaluating the impact value when striking the back of the notch section with a hammer while supporting both ends of the test specimen.

Impact testing is a test that measures the resistance of a material when subjected to a high-speed load. There are several types of impact tests, including the pendulum-type Izod impact test, Charpy impact test, tensile impact test, and drop-weight impact tests such as the DuPont impact test and dart impact test. The Izod and Charpy impact tests typically involve notching the test specimen. By notching, stress is concentrated, which means the results are influenced by the notch shape and the method of notch fabrication.

Drop Weight Impact Testing Machine - Tensile Impact Test "9400 Series"

High-speed camera shooting is possible! A drop weight impact testing machine that easily synchronizes video and load signals.

The "9400 Series" is a drop weight impact testing machine that can be used not only for punching but also for compression, three-point bending, and tensile-tensile impact tests. As the use of thermoplastics, composites, and metal alloys as high-performance materials for weight reduction in automotive, aerospace, and defense applications increases, the need to streamline the product development process and confirm the consistency between simulations and test results is extremely important. The weight is adjusted to maintain a constant strain rate and speed as much as possible throughout the elongation of the specimen during the impact event. 【Features】 ■ Capable of measuring high strain rates at impact speeds of up to 22 m/s ■ Tensile impact fixture test temperature range: -50 to +120°C (standard piezo sensor) ■ Transparent panels are placed around the test area, allowing for high-speed camera recording ■ Easy synchronization of video and load signals ■ DIC analysis to evaluate the longitudinal strain of the specimen after impact in a tensile impact condition *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Structural Analysis Example] Fracture Analysis of Charpy Test Using SAMP-1

The material is polycarbonate! It is important to set the fracture strain considering the strain rate dependence!

We would like to introduce a case study analyzing the fracture of the notched Charpy test (JIS K7111-1/1eA). A total of 10 tests were conducted, resulting in 9 hinge fractures, with a Charpy impact strength of 77 (kJ/m³). From the results of the impact strength and the behavior of the fractures, it can be said that in order to analyze the notched Charpy impact test, it is important to establish not only the "stress-strain" relationship considering strain rate dependence but also the fracture strain considering strain rate dependence. 【Case Overview】 ■ Material: Polycarbonate ■ Material Model: Resin Material Constitutive Law SAMP-1 ■ High-speed tensile tests were conducted to determine the following (1) and (2): ・(1) "Stress-Strain" relationship considering strain rate dependence ・(2) Fracture strain considering strain rate dependence *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
