Brazing technology for precision tools (carbide × stainless steel)

Soldering processing that minimizes the occurrence of pinholes and warping in the solder layer. Also compatible with precision machined products using SUS304 series soldered materials!

Typically, precision machined products using cemented carbide are often made from solid materials. One reason for this is that the stricter the required precision, such as surface roughness and geometric tolerances, the easier it is to control the machining of solid materials. However, even with brazed products where only the applicable parts are made of cemented carbide, if there is sophisticated brazing technology, it is possible to achieve precision machining in subsequent processes without issues, and to meet the required precision of the finished product. In fact, considering cost and weight, solid materials made entirely of cemented carbide may not always be the optimal material choice for certain applications. Our company also supports precision machined products using brazed items made of cemented carbide and austenitic stainless steel (SUS304 series) as the base material. For more details, please refer to the "Cemented Carbide Machining Technology and Idea Introduction Special Feature" document.

Joint design and brazing technology that covers the tip protrusion with hard material.

By bonding carbide to the convex shape of the tool tip, we enhance wear resistance without compromising the functional shape of the tip.

If the tip of the tool has a specific shape, it is considered that the shape itself possesses functionality. However, if the physical properties of the tip do not have sufficient wear resistance against friction with the workpiece, there is a possibility that the original functionality may be compromised due to shape changes caused by wear. Therefore, a bonding design that covers the surface of the tip with a hard material without altering the mechanical properties or shape of the tip is effective. When cutting away the surface of the tool's base material at the tip and replacing it with a hard alloy, joint design that takes bonding strength into account and advanced brazing techniques are required. Our company can accommodate the design and manufacturing of such hard alloy brazing processes. For more details, please refer to the "Processing Technology Special Feature."

Founded in 1955: Tokiwa Roi Industrial Co., Ltd. Company Profile

We create carbide products tailored to the specific challenges faced by customers in various fields! We specialize in small lot production and custom orders!

Since our establishment in 1955, we have responded to the detailed needs of customers in various fields through the manufacturing of cemented carbide for over half a century. The strengths we have cultivated during this time are our production system capable of "small lot production" and "custom-made orders." Moving forward, we aim to be a cemented carbide manufacturer that utilizes these strengths to solve challenges in the field. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
