By switching from a cubette to a plate, multiple sample measurements can be completed in one go, allowing for all physical and chemical analyses, including absorbance, fluorescence, and luminescence, to be conducted with a single device.
The plate reader allows for physical and chemical analysis (analytical chemistry experiments) of many samples at once by using 96 well plates (plates with 96 holes) or 384 well plates. The Infinite 200 PRO offers three modes of measurement: absorbance, fluorescence, and luminescence, which can be combined (absorbance + fluorescence + luminescence is also possible), along with two optical systems using diffraction gratings and filters, providing six different configurations.
While measurements with a cuvette can only be done one sample at a time, the plate reader can analyze many samples simultaneously, which is expected to reduce experimental time and costs.
Additionally, with the incorporation of a temperature controller, it is possible to conduct temperature-dependent experiments, and by adding an injector, it is also possible to detect fast reactions.
