Delay measurement unit / GPS module / Timing keyer
Do you have a request to accurately measure the transmission delay of imaging equipment? The delay measurement unit DPN2011B can meet such a request.
The Delay Measurement Unit (DPN2011B) is a unique product that can measure the total video delay time of a system composed of an imaging camera, video transmission system, and display monitor. The LED lamp that flashes on and off with the trigger signal generated from DPN2011B is displayed on the monitor via the camera and video transmission system. The ON/OFF state of the LED flashing image on the monitor is captured by a photodiode (PD) and converted into an electrical signal. The difference between this signal and the trigger signal, which represents the total video delay time, is automatically acquired using a PC-connected oscilloscope and dedicated software "AccuLatencyII," allowing for data recording of the entire system's delay time on a PC. Additionally, as an option for measuring video delay between two distant points, we have prepared a GPS module (DPN2015B) and a timing keeper (DPN2016A). The DPN2015B can receive the 1-second periodic pulse signal from GPS satellites at each remote location, serving as a reference for delay time measurement. It should be noted that GPS pulse signals can be difficult to receive depending on the satellite's position or if indoors, and the timing keeper DPN2016A is the device that can capture pulses while DPN2015B is receiving GPS pulses.
