The STAF (Steel Tube Air Forming) system is the world's first forming system that electrically heats pipe material within a press mold and injects high-pressure air into the interior of the pipe to shape continuous irregular closed cross-section members with integrated flanges. By rapidly cooling the material with the mold simultaneously during forming, it is possible to shape closed cross-section members using Press Hardened Steel (PHS). Urethane is used as a variety of product materials, including industrial products. Currently, there is a shortage of HFO, which is used as a foaming agent, and the consideration of alternative materials has become a challenge. Cyclopentane, like HFO, is a non-fluorinated foaming agent, and its insulation performance and GWP (Global Warming Potential) are similar. Therefore, it may be possible to propose it as an alternative material. We are open to consultations regarding alternatives to HFO. The foaming agent we use, cyclopentane, is not a non-combustible or flame-retardant type. Thank you for your understanding.
