ADLINK's NuDAM data acquisition module constitutes a comprehensive acquisition network and control system. Up to 256 NuDAM modules can communicate over a single serial RS-232 connection to an RS-485 network from a host computer, enabling communication over distances of up to 4000 feet. Based on an RS-485 multi-drop network system, each module has a unique address ID that allows control of all NuDAM modules within the RS-485 network through a simple ASCII command and response protocol via a standard RS-485 interface.
