Gold plating
It has excellent electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance. Additionally, due to its excellent light reflectivity, it is widely used as a decorative surface treatment. Neodymium magnets are often coated with nickel plating on the base. Note that gold plating is different from gold-colored plating.
Nickel plating
It is suitable for neodymium magnets and yokes (iron materials) that are prone to rust due to their high hardness and excellent corrosion resistance. We can also accommodate single-layer nickel plating and three-layer plating of nickel-copper-nickel. While electrolytic nickel plating is common, we can also produce it with electroless nickel plating, achieving uniform film thickness.
Zinc plating
It is suitable for rust-prone neodymium magnets and yokes (iron materials) due to its excellent corrosion resistance. Additionally, because of its high adhesion, delamination due to impact and friction is less likely to occur. Primarily, chromate treatment is performed to enhance corrosion resistance. Previously, it contained hexavalent chromium, but it has now been replaced with trivalent chromium.
