Case Study Vol.1 "Anti-Reflective Coating (AR Coat)"

Introducing examples of achieving reduced reflection on LCD panels and improved light output of light source lamps and sensor sensitivity. Custom proposals are available.

This document introduces case studies of solving challenges using the vacuum deposition process "Lequa-Dry," which can form an anti-reflective coating (AR coat) on glass and resin at low cost. It includes examples of improved visibility of displays and increased light output due to higher transmittance of lenses. You can also view a comparison table of the advantages of different coating methods, which will help in selecting the appropriate processing method. 【We can solve the following concerns】 ■ I want to make the LCD panel easier to see... ■ I want to increase the light output of the light source lamp, even a little... ■ I want to enhance the sensitivity of near-infrared sensors... *You can view it immediately from "PDF Download." Ultraviolet reflection prevention film (AR) wavelength: efficiently transmits 350~410nm.

It achieves excellent ultraviolet transmission rates and can be adapted to the light sources you plan to use (such as high-pressure mercury lamps, various laser lights, UV LEDs, etc.).

Are you facing any of these issues? - I want to reduce reflection in the ultraviolet (UV-A) range. - I want to increase the transmittance at wavelengths that react with initiators, such as 365nm and 405nm. - I've heard that the UV range has a thin film thickness and is difficult to control... - I've heard that the substrates and film materials are limited; can you accommodate that? - I've heard that the measurement difficulty after film formation is high; can you handle that? ◆ We achieve excellent ultraviolet transmittance! By depositing multilayer dielectric films, we prevent light reflection from both sides of the substrate. Based on our achievements in visible light, we can also achieve high transmittance in the ultraviolet wavelength range by controlling the film formation process. However, the substrates that can be used for film formation are limited, so prior confirmation is necessary. By utilizing the characteristics of the substrates you will use and designing accordingly, we will realize the optimal filter.

Dual-wavelength anti-reflective coating

It is a special anti-reflective coating (AR coat) that can have peaks at multiple wavelengths. It is a filter that can be optimally designed for various optical devices.

【1】Are you facing any of these issues? ◆Is it possible to prevent reflection by matching the wavelength of CDs and DVDs? ◆Is there a way to improve visibility and achieve clear image quality? ◆Can we design and deposit custom solutions? ◆I want to increase light output to contribute to energy savings. ◆Can we design an anti-reflective coating (AR) that considers the angle of incidence? 【2】Features of Adachi New Industry's dual-wavelength AR (anti-reflective coating) 1) It is compatible with two wavelengths for CD (780nm) and DVD (650nm). We also offer custom designs that accommodate both DVD (650nm) and Blu-ray/HD-DVD (405nm). 2) It prevents light reflection from both sides of the substrate (thereby improving transmittance). Because it minimizes light loss, clear images can be obtained even in complex optical systems with long optical paths without degrading the incident light. 3) It can accommodate a variety of substrates, including glass and resin films. However, since our process is batch (sheet-type), the maximum size is □200mm.

3-wavelength anti-reflective coating

It is a special anti-reflective coating (AR coat) that can have peaks at multiple wavelengths. It is a filter that can be optimally designed for various optical devices.

【1】Are you facing any of these issues? ◆Is there a way to prevent reflection by matching the wavelength of CDs, DVDs, and Blu-rays? ◆Is there a method to improve visibility and achieve clear image quality? ◆Is it possible to design and fabricate custom solutions? ◆I want to increase light output to contribute to energy savings. ◆Can we design an anti-reflective coating (AR) that takes the angle of incidence into account? 【2】Features of Adachi New Industry's dual-wavelength AR (anti-reflective coating) 1) Multi-layer structure: The three-wavelength anti-reflective coating consists of multiple dielectric thin film layers. 2) Selective anti-reflection: It exhibits a high anti-reflection effect for specific wavelength ranges of light. Reflection of specific light is suppressed, improving the visibility of devices and displays. 3) Wide wavelength range compatibility: The three-wavelength anti-reflective coating is generally effective across a wide wavelength range, spanning the visible light region and near-infrared region. It can deliver high performance against light from various light sources. 4) Advances in thin film technology: It has been improved through advancements in thin film technology. With advanced manufacturing techniques and material selection, it is applied to compact devices and displays.

Anti-reflective film (AR film) achieves 'high transmittance' and 'wide bandwidth'!

The introduction of the new vapor deposition device has successfully achieved "reduction of reflectivity" and "expansion of wavelength range"!

The introduction of the new deposition machine has significantly improved the performance of anti-reflective coatings! <High Transmission> * Reduced average reflectance across the entire visible spectrum! * Reduced ripple in the intermediate wavelength range! <Wide Bandwidth> * Before the introduction, the wavelength range was limited to the visible spectrum, but we have successfully achieved high transmission AR coating over a wide bandwidth, including near-ultraviolet and near-infrared! We also welcome any questions, consultations, or prototype requests! If you are interested, please feel free to reach out to us!
