[Case Study of Cutting Machine Introduction] Kaneko Glasses Co., Ltd.
Automation of "additional processing" for eyeglass frames to improve productivity with a "rotary axis unit."
Founded in 1958 with the aim of wholesale distribution of glasses. Since then, we have been engaged in planning, design, and sales centered around our original brand, establishing a solid position as a trend leader in the eyewear industry in Japan. [Challenges] - While inheriting traditional techniques, we want to improve efficiency through active mechanization, merging machine-made and handmade processes. - The accuracy of processing positions decreases when operators are continuously engaged in manual work with machines. [Results] - Fixing to the machine has been streamlined to a single operation, and by utilizing dedicated jigs made with MDX, processing accuracy has improved. - Operators can now manage 2 to 3 processing machines simultaneously, leading to an overall increase in production turnover and improvements in workflow. - The automatic tool changer (ATC) is standardly equipped, eliminating the hassle for operators to change tools. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
