Until now, there have been no domestic standards in Japan to guarantee the safety and effectiveness of products using hypochlorous acid water for disinfection and virus removal.
The Hypochlorous Acid Industry Association is the only organization qualified to test the safety and effectiveness of products that use hypochlorous acid water and to grant certification for compliance with the JSA standards issued by the external standardization organization (JSA) of the national government (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) to those products that meet the criteria.
Products using hypochlorous acid water certified by the JSA standards are guaranteed to be the safest and most effective products currently available in Japan. We hope that many businesses using hypochlorous acid water will contribute to ensuring quality in the market and protecting consumers.
