An easy-to-understand explanation of the role and types of "refrigerants" used in the refrigeration cycle, as well as the environmental impact of freon!

Refrigerants play the role of heat carriers. In the refrigeration cycle, they can move heat from a lower temperature area to a higher temperature area. The most commonly used refrigerant in air conditioning equipment and industrial cooling systems is fluorocarbon. The materials provide a detailed explanation of refrigerants that have a negative impact on the environment, such as CFCs and HCFCs. If you are interested, please take a look. *The materials can be viewed immediately from "PDF Download." Plate fin cooler, refrigerant【Customizable operating pressure】

High thermal conductivity of pipes and fins with our unique technology! We will design and manufacture according to your specifications, such as fin pitch and heat source pressure, to meet your needs.

Matsuzawa Manufacturing's "Plate Fin Cooler Direct Expansion" is a heat exchanger that heats or cools gas passing through pipes. Its unique manufacturing machinery presses fins into place, resulting in a very high thermal conductivity between the pipes and fins. Additionally, it can accommodate material combinations for tubes and fins that cannot be handled by standard fins, and the fin pitch can be freely determined, allowing for adaptability to various conditions. You can select pipe thickness according to the pressure of the heat source, and the casing side (air/gas side) can also be designed according to specifications, enabling us to provide specifications that meet your needs. <Example> High-pressure specification sch80 pipe, all stainless direct expansion coil for CO2 refrigerant, airtight specification on the air side, heat transfer section extraction structure, etc. *We can accommodate conditions that standard machines cannot handle. If you are having trouble with heat exchangers, please feel free to consult us. *For more details, please download the materials or contact us through our company website.

Conversion to R407C as an alternative to HCFCs

We propose a replacement plan for the new refrigerant with a unit form that takes into account work efficiency on-site!

Refrigerant R407C has similar pressure, capacity, and efficiency to R22, making it a refrigerant with very low risk for maintaining the performance of currently used air conditioning units. HCFCs (R22), which are ozone-depleting substances, were reduced by 60% from the annual production quota for 2010-2014 starting January 1, 2015, and were reduced to zero production starting January 1, 2020. Although there may still be some production remaining for replenishment purposes, it is very difficult to obtain, so it is necessary to replace the refrigerant in use with the new refrigerant (R407C). Our company proposes a plan to replace the current HCFCs used in your equipment with a suitable new refrigerant. Please feel free to consult us when needed. [R407C (New Refrigerant HFC) Features] - Composition: Ternary mixed refrigerant - Saturated vapor pressure [MPa-abs] at 25°C: 1.19 - Evaporation latent heat [kJ/kg]: 249 - Ozone depletion potential [ODP]: 0 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

What is the new refrigerant that is attracting attention?

For companies, the trends in refrigerants need to be recognized as important news!

Freon was developed by humanity for use in devices aimed at cooling objects. It is an artificial substance that evaporates easily and has the property of dissolving oils, which has led to its application in various products and industrial uses. However, Freon also has weaknesses, and the Montreal Protocol, which came into effect in 1989, regulates two types of specific Freons: CFCs and designated Freons: HCFCs. Specific Freons are to be completely phased out by 1996, and designated Freons will soon be abolished as well. This article outlines the new refrigerants and explains the benefits of their introduction. [Contents] ■ The relationship between new refrigerants and Freon ■ From alternative Freons to new refrigerants ■ The trend of new refrigerants cannot be overlooked in the future *For detailed content of the article, please refer to the related links. *For more information, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Refrigerant "Opteon(TM) XP40 (R-449A)"

There is a possibility that your current refrigeration and freezer equipment or showcase may become unusable. We will support the introduction of low GWP refrigerants in the future!

HCFC refrigerants will be completely banned from new production and import by the end of 2019, and the phased reduction of HFC refrigerants will start from 2019. As the stock in circulation gradually diminishes, there is a risk that maintenance refrigerants will become unavailable. Refrigerators, freezers, and showcases using existing HCFC/HFC refrigerants may become unmaintainable if left unattended. 'Opteon(TM) XP40 (R-449A)' is a hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) refrigerant that does not destroy the ozone layer and has a low global warming potential (GWP). It is suitable for new equipment and retrofitting existing equipment, offering higher energy efficiency and environmental characteristics. [Features] - Low GWP (global warming potential) - Non-flammable - Proven track record with major equipment and component manufacturers - Alternative for medium and low-temperature refrigerants (equivalent capacity) - Rechargeable after leakage, etc. *For more details, please download the PDF or contact us.
