In 2018, we delivered the +CAL25F to Takayanagi Eye Clinic. The clinic is located in Kushiro City, Hokkaido, and is situated very close to the sea and river. In the event of a massive earthquake originating from the Chiba Trench on the Pacific side of Hokkaido, a tsunami of approximately 28 meters is expected to arrive. There is an administrative-designated evacuation site nearby, but since elderly patients visit the clinic, it would be difficult to evacuate quickly in the event of a tsunami during surgery. Therefore, the +CAL25F was introduced as a safety measure.
