Automating deburring operations with robot installation. Reducing time and costs.
In the metal processing industry, there is a constant demand for improvements in product quality and productivity. In particular, deburring work is a crucial process that significantly affects the finish of products, yet it poses challenges due to the considerable time and labor burden associated with manual work.
In response to this challenge, our belt sander "Belton" (B-10-RBT-S/B-10-RBT) is designed with the premise of being mounted on a robot, enabling the automation of deburring tasks. Its slim design with a belt width of 10mm allows it to handle deburring in narrow spaces and complex shapes, significantly enhancing work efficiency. Furthermore, the 'B-10-RBT-S' is equipped with functions to detect startup failures and belt breaks, enabling rapid response to stoppage issues.
【Examples of Use】
1. Automation of deburring for aluminum die-cast and machined parts
2. Edge chamfering (C-face, R-face) for pressed and bent products
3. Bead removal/surface leveling for castings and welds
4. Chamfering after drilling and tapping (entry and exit burrs)
5. Processing after gate cutting for resin molded products
6. Scan correction and deburring in a robot-integrated cell
【Benefits of Implementation】
1. Reduction in work time
2. Decrease in labor costs
3. Improvement in product quality
