[Case Study] Wiring Reduction for Rotary Head Robot Type

Reducing the risk of failure in movable parts! Introducing a case study on the implementation of "wiring reduction for rotary head robot types."

We would like to introduce a case study of the "wiring reduction for rotary head robot types" handled by Takaki Manufacturing. When using a rotating type robot, it is necessary to wire signals from sensors installed on the rotary head through a slip ring, which results in high costs for the slip ring and sensor wiring. After implementation, by placing a microcontroller board on the rotary head and communicating with the head's microcontroller via infrared, it has become possible to check the status of the sensors mounted on the rotary head. [Case Overview] ■ Challenges - High costs for slip ring and sensor wiring - Sensor signal abnormalities due to slip ring degradation ■ Results - Ability to check the status of sensors mounted on the rotary head - Reduced risks of sensor signal abnormalities - Reduced risk of failure in movable parts *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Demonstration Experiment of Structural Monitoring for Office Buildings

It is a system that can span multiple floors in a single hop and network the entire building with multi-hop connectivity.

As a new disaster prevention and mitigation measure, the ability to monitor an entire building across multiple floors using a multi-hop network has been recognized, leading Nishimatsu Construction to adopt the 'sonas x02'. In recent years, structural monitoring that confirms the condition of structures, such as their integrity, by installing vibration sensors has gained attention. Particularly for important buildings that serve as disaster response centers, such as government offices, the installation of vibration sensors is recommended. However, conventional measurement systems typically rely on wired connections for data transfer and power supply, which necessitates wiring work, posing a challenge. In response, the company focused on wireless structural monitoring as a new disaster prevention and mitigation measure, leading to the implementation of a demonstration experiment using this product. [Case Study] - Implementing Company: Nishimatsu Construction Co., Ltd. - Challenges Before Implementation: A means to efficiently diagnose the integrity of structures during earthquakes - Reasons for Selection: - Ability to span multiple floors in a single hop and network the entire building using multi-hop technology *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Introduction of the assembly parts picking sensor system for EMS assembly.

By introducing picking instruction sensors in the parts small boxes, we will contribute to reducing defects and improving quality, such as preventing incorrect assembly of different parts during assembly.

The "Picking Sensor" illuminates the small boxes of parts to be assembled, preventing the accidental selection of incorrect items. Additionally, by synchronizing this sensor with the system, it is possible to reduce various labor costs and improve quality. 【Effects】 ■ Prevention of Incorrect Assembly of Different Items The box designated for picking lights up according to the system instructions, allowing the worker to quickly pick the next part to be assembled. ■ Standardization of Work Procedures Since picking can only be done according to the specified procedures in the work instruction manual, it prevents variations in work performed by different workers. ■ Assembly Instructions with Appropriate Tools By synchronizing the tools with the system, work instructions can be provided using only the appropriate tools. Example: It is possible to ensure that picked screws can only be assembled with an electric screwdriver set to the appropriate torque. ■ Reduction of Visual Inspection Workload Since incorrect assembly of different items is not possible, it reduces the need for visual checks during assembly inspections to confirm incorrect assembly.

Wireless Displacement Sensor System [Measurement System Development Case]

Rich experience in prototype development! Examples of designing and manufacturing wireless circuit boards and developing communication control firmware.

We would like to introduce a case where we proposed the wireless conversion of a displacement sensor system to an electronic equipment manufacturer. The company expressed a desire to convert their wired displacement sensor system, which is utilized in various scenes, to a wireless system. Since the application scenario involves relatively short distances, we proposed using Bluetooth for wireless communication between the circuit board and the PC. We designed and manufactured a wireless circuit board to capture sensor values and developed communication control firmware, which we delivered. The customer is currently evaluating it in their environment. 【Case Overview】 ■ Request: Convert the wired system consisting of sensor ⇔ circuit board ⇔ PC application to wireless ■ Proposal: Wireless conversion between the circuit board and PC using Bluetooth ■ Results - Designed and manufactured a wireless circuit board to capture sensor values - Developed communication control firmware *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
