[Examples of Solenoid Applications] Office machines and equipment - Typewriter printing device

Introducing an example of applying the SDC type solenoid to the printing mechanism of a Japanese typewriter.

Japanese typewriters have more characters compared to English typewriters, requiring each character to be picked up individually. Additionally, due to the long operating distance of the holder, a larger lever ratio is necessary. By energizing the solenoid, lever (A) is lifted around the pivot point, and lever (B) is pulled in the direction of the arrow. The holder picks up the imprint and rotates around the pivot point to print on the paper. When the energization is released, lever (A) descends, and lever (B) returns. The holder flips back to its original position while the platen advances one character in the direction of the arrow. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.*

Solenoid application example: Vehicle trunk release device

An example of applying SDC type PL (cylindrical) solenoid to the unlocking device of an automobile trunk.

Automotive solenoids are required to be compact and withstand harsh conditions. The diagram shows a cylindrical solenoid in an unenergized state. When locking, the entire area within the dotted line is pressed down, and the hook engages with the fixed bracket to secure the lock. To unlock, the solenoid is energized from inside the vehicle or elsewhere. When energized, the lever is pulled, and the hook moves in a circular motion, disengaging the hook tip from the fixed bracket, while the entire area within the dotted line is lifted, unlocking the mechanism. By de-energizing, the hook returns to its original position due to the force of the spring. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Solenoid Application Example] Automatic Machine Band Feed and Return Device

Introduction of examples applying SDC type solenoids to band feeding and returning devices in automatic packaging machines.

This is an example of using two SDC-type solenoids in a device for sending and returning packaging bands. The figure shows that solenoids (1) and (2) are unenergized, and power rollers (1) and (2) are in a rotating state. By energizing solenoid (1), the feeding roller presses the band against power roller (1), causing the band to be sent to the left. By de-energizing solenoid (1) and energizing solenoid (2), the returning roller presses the band against power roller (2), and the band is returned to the right. By de-energizing solenoid (2), one cycle is completed, and the shaft stops at the midpoint. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Self-holding shape solenoid "KPS type"

I want to maintain it even without electricity! Customizations such as 'incorporating a return spring' are also possible.

The "KPS type" is a solenoid that incorporates a permanent magnet. A solenoid is a functional component that applies the principles of electromagnetism. The magnetic force of the permanent magnet holds the movable iron core in an attracted state even when there is no power supplied. Electricity is only supplied when movement is desired, which helps to reduce power consumption and temperature rise. By using a return load (such as a spring) and supplying electricity with reverse polarity, the movable iron core will return. Customizations, such as "incorporating a return spring into the solenoid," are also available. 【Features】 ■ Incorporates a permanent magnet ■ Holds the movable iron core in an attracted state even when there is no power supplied, thanks to the magnetic force of the permanent magnet ■ Reduces power consumption and temperature rise ■ Customizations, such as "incorporating a return spring," are possible ■ Depending on the type of permanent magnet used, it is possible to select holding power within the same model size *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Methods to Reduce Power Consumption: SDC Type and KPS Type

Introducing the suitable "SDC type" and "KPS type" for when you want to reduce power consumption!

A solenoid is a functional component that applies the principles of electromagnetism. The suitable solenoids for reducing power consumption are the "SDC type" and the "KPS type." The "SDC type" solenoid often requires more holding force than necessary, leading to many instances of unnecessary power consumption. Methods such as PWM control and semi-intermittent control can be employed to reduce power consumption during holding. We will propose the most efficient control methods for your machines and products. The "KPS type" solenoid holds using a permanent magnet, so no power is needed during holding. In addition to power consumption, we will also provide improvement proposals regarding temperature measures. 【Features】 ■ SDC Type - PWM Control - Semi-Intermittent Control - Proposing the most efficient control methods for machines, products, etc. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

[Examples of Solenoid Applications] Acoustic Equipment, Brake Systems

Examples of applications of brake devices in player recorders and similar equipment.

Here is an example of applying the SDC type solenoid to brake devices such as player recorders. When the solenoid is not energized, the brake lining is pressed against the brake shoe by the return spring, and the brake shoe stops rotating. By energizing the solenoid, the brake lining separates from the brake shoe, allowing the brake shoe to rotate. When the energization of the solenoid is released, the return spring presses the brake lining against the brake shoe, stopping the rotation of the brake shoe. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
