Its high-performance design supports a transmission rate of 1.25Gbps/full duplex communication/maximum link length of up to 100m using a 4-pair twisted pair CAT5 UTP cable. Access to the SFP serial ID information at address A0h is available via a 2-wire serial bus I2C protocol. Additionally, the PHY IC can also be accessed using a 2-wire serial bus through address ACh.
