0323 Measures to Address Discharge Issues of Sewage Sludge Incineration Ash

Solving discharge troubles of sewage sludge incineration ash! Introducing case studies from wastewater treatment plants.

Here is a case study from a waste treatment facility in a certain city. "We received a consultation stating that in the storage tank for sewage sludge incineration ash, when the storage volume increases, it becomes impossible to extract using the feeder. It seems to be compacted at the bottom of the hopper." Since we had various experiences with sewage sludge incineration ash, we proposed a solution using a blow disk after reviewing the sludge sample, including layout plans. It was adopted promptly, and the trouble was resolved quickly. This equipment performs aeration inside the hopper (along the inner wall of the hopper), so depending on the conditions, it is very effective in addressing compaction caused by increased storage volume and longer storage time. [Overview] ■ Hopper Size - Approximately 3000 × 3000 ■ Blow Disk Arrangement, etc. - One unit just above the outlet on each side, plus two more above, totaling 12 units installed on four sides. - The controller, which incorporates six solenoid valves, sequentially supplies air to two blow disks at six locations with a time difference. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Fundamentals and measurement of odors in the latest housing and interior design, and measures for odor-related issues.

Researchers from top domestic universities and manufacturers will explain various aspects of odors in future living environments.

**Lecture Summary** In recent years, issues related to odors have been changing. In particular, with the aging population, care environments have gained attention, and the specific odor problems associated with these environments have also been addressed. Additionally, it is said that increased airtightness has made it easier for odors generated indoors to linger. This lecture will explain the basic knowledge regarding odors, including sources of odors indoors, methods for measuring and evaluating odors, and the characteristics of odor generation. It will also discuss the necessary considerations for the amount of odor generation and acceptable levels when considering odor countermeasures, as well as introduce the standard values derived from previous research. Furthermore, examples of odor surveys and measurements in actual indoor settings will be presented, along with an explanation of the concepts behind odor control methods. Based on survey results regarding the deodorizing performance of products claimed to have deodorizing functions and the effectiveness of measures implemented in real-world settings, the lecture will introduce the deodorizing effects and challenges associated with each method.

0080 Talc and Mica Emission Troubleshooting Measures

To prevent clogging in the hopper receiving talc, mica, etc. from the Furecon!

Used for blockage prevention in hoppers receiving materials such as talc and mica from bulk bags. The measures for discharge troubles have been completed! Hopper diameter: 1400φ Hopper inclination: 60° Since we sometimes handle various raw materials, we have installed eight blow discs to ensure thoroughness. Blow discs are inexpensive equipment, so we can install many to eliminate any issues! For hoppers with a diameter of approximately 1400 to 2000φ, it is common to install a total of eight discs in two tiers of four each, as shown in the reference diagram below. This time, due to a high risk of blockage just above the discharge section, we installed two of the lower four discs at a position 150 mm lower. Since the installation of the blow discs, there have been no powder discharge troubles at all. If you are having issues with powders and granules, please consult us. We have published numerous case studies on our company website. You can check them via the link below.
