The DRV8880 features two N-channel power MOSFET H-bridge drivers and a microstepping indexer. It can supply a maximum output current of 2.0A (full scale) or up to 1.4A rms (at 24V and TA = 25°C, with a proper PCB ground plane required for heat dissipation). AutoTune provides automatic adjustment for stepper motors to achieve optimal current control performance, along with compensation for motor variations and aging effects.
