The screw rolling head typically involves three rolls and enters the material from the end face in the axial direction to roll the screw. Since it uses a step rolling method that rolls one thread at a time from the tip, it places less load on both the machine and the workpiece. Regardless of the rotation speed, it advances by the pitch per rotation. The rolls can advance in the axial direction regardless of their length, allowing for flexible setting of the screw length. There are F-type heads used for rotating workpieces (such as lathes) and G-type heads that can rotate the head (used for machining centers, etc.).
