Genetically Modified Organism (GMO) Testing

We also support soybean processed foods! We conduct tests for genetically modified soybean foods.

Eurofins QKEN Co., Ltd. conducts contract testing for genetically modified organisms (GMO). As of April 1, 2023, the labeling system for genetically modified foods has been tightened. To ensure proper labeling, we recommend conducting tests. When labeling as "non-genetically modified," the current system stipulates that the contamination rate of genetically modified crops (GMO) must be 5% or less (limited to unintentional contamination). This system has been reviewed, and starting from the 2023 fiscal year, it has become necessary to demonstrate that GMOs are undetectable, leading to stricter regulations. Therefore, conducting tests is important for proper labeling and its justification. In our own investigations, we have found multiple instances of GMO detection in commercially available products. [Testing Items] ■ Soybean GMO Testing (Immunochromatography Method) ■ Soybean GMO Testing (ELISA Method) ■ Soybean GMO Testing (PCR Method: Qualitative) ■ Soybean GMO Testing (PCR Method: Quantitative) ■ Soybean Product GMO Testing (PCR Method: Qualitative) *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.
