Therefore, they are used in applications such as light curtains and rotary encoders, and they also serve as alternatives to VCSELs. At DOWA, customization is possible according to customer requests, including chip and light-emitting part sizes. "DOWA Electronics" was established in October 2006 as a subsidiary of Dowa Mining, which started as a mining smelting company in 1884, specializing in electronic materials.
