[NMR Pipe Protector Verification Results] British Museum
Existing red rust is reduced to black rust! An example where air conditioning hot water piping can be used as long as the building exists!
The British Museum in London is one of the most famous museums in the world, housing over 8 million works of art, of which 150,000 are displayed in succession. The museum is 264 years old and has issues with red rust sludge in its air conditioning hot water piping. To prevent damage to the artworks caused by leaks in the piping, it was necessary to protect the pipes. Therefore, the "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed, which does not require cutting the pipes and protects them from leaks and red water caused by red rust, allowing the pipes to be safeguarded for over 40 years. Before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the iron content in the water was 20 mg/l, but one week after installation, the iron content decreased to 12.2 mg/l. It continued to decrease, and it was confirmed that the iron content had reduced to 0.2 mg/l five weeks after installation. As a result, new red rust corrosion in the pipes was completely halted, and the existing red rust was reduced to black rust, proving that the pipes were protected. Thanks to the effectiveness of the NMR Pipe Protector, the air conditioning hot water piping can be used for as long as the building exists.
