[Training Material] Mecanum Wheel Robot A5
[Demo unit available for loan] A4-sized, 4-wheel drive omnidirectional moving robot!
Mecanum wheels are special wheels composed of barrel-shaped rollers tilted at 45 degrees. By individually controlling the four wheels, omnidirectional movement is possible without changing the orientation of the body or performing stationary turns. When equipped with sensors and cameras, it can avoid or chase objects, moving just like a "robot." It comes standard with an STM32 Nucleo microcontroller for control, and the development environment can utilize free tools like "STM32CubeIDE" or "Mbed." Sample source code for STM32 is provided, allowing you to get started right away. Additionally, it can be equipped with Raspberry Pi or Jetson Nano via an optional board, enabling more advanced control experiments such as implementing ROS (Robot Operating System) and autonomous driving through camera image analysis. These specifications make this product ideal as a base robot for research and development. ◎ Control practice robot created with open-source software ◎ Development of intelligent robot applications ◎ Acquisition of fundamental technologies for developing mobile carts equipped with ROS
