The knife roll serves the role of adjusting the amount of coating liquid applied to the substrate in a knife coater, and precision is required at the edge of the blade. There are various types of knife rolls, including the standard type with edge processing done by milling, the adjustment bolt type with a double structure that allows for fine adjustment of edge height using adjustment bolts, and the insert type with a stellite thermal spray applied to the edge. All of these rolls have a very high level of processing difficulty, but Otec has a proven track record in the production and repair of all types of knife rolls.
