Proposal for the use of vacuum insulation panel encapsulated panels to promote the shift from long-distance truck transportation to rail, air, and maritime transportation.

At Tada Plastic Industry, we can provide insulation boards with vacuum insulation panels (VIP). Our technology places vacuum insulation materials in the core of high-insulation polyurethane, which has been adopted for cargo COOL containers. Modal shift refers to switching to more environmentally friendly and efficient transportation methods that produce less CO2 emissions in cargo transport. For example, converting from truck transport to rail or maritime transport is a common example of modal shift. The benefits of modal shift include: Reduction of CO2 emissions: Rail and maritime transport are more fuel-efficient compared to trucks, helping to reduce CO2 emissions. Alleviation of traffic congestion: Switching from truck transport to rail or maritime transport reduces road traffic, contributing to the alleviation of congestion. The stress state inside the material can be understood non-destructively.

The tensile and compressive strain applied to the material causes a slight shift in the Raman peak position. By evaluating this shift, the stress state within the material can be understood non-destructively. In Raman spectroscopy, mechanical strains such as tension and compression that occur in the material affect the vibrational energy, resulting in a slight change in the peak position. Many companies and industries are currently advancing their efforts towards the SDGs. The logistics industry conducts a significant amount of truck transportation, and reducing environmental impact has become a major challenge. At the same time, labor shortages are also a significant issue for the logistics industry. Logistics companies have made efforts in the past, such as introducing fuel-efficient and low-emission environmentally friendly vehicles (eco-cars) and recycling plastic pallets, but it has been considered that more substantial and fundamental measures are necessary. To fundamentally improve both the reduction of environmental impact and the response to labor shortages, the concept of "modal shift" has been proposed.
