It was designed and developed using monolithic silica technology, inspired by the widely used white diatomaceous earth (Chromosorb) in gas chromatography. It has an appearance, physical strength, and heat resistance similar to white diatomaceous earth. As a result, it addresses the issues associated with natural diatomaceous earth that requires soil mining (reproducibility, impurities, environmental impact).
