Aiming for improved CAE accuracy and a reduction of 900 hours in labor! Case study on the introduction of an AI-based similar shape search system.
We would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of the similar shape search system 'SS4M' at Tamron Co., Ltd., a comprehensive optical equipment manufacturer.
At the company, when conducting pre-molding simulations using CAE, they first search for similar parts to reference past molding conditions. There were challenges such as cases where the accuracy of the similar parts found in the search was low, which led to a decrease in the accuracy of the CAE.
Therefore, they decided to implement the system with the aim of reducing the search workload for calculating molding conditions, reducing the workload for creating estimates of molded products, and reducing the CAM workload for mold components, as well as improving the accuracy of CAE!
【Reasons for Implementation】
■ Easy data management through attribute registration
■ User-friendly, including good operability
■ Convenience of the program, including automation capabilities
