In the automotive industry, electronics development has always been carried out through iterative processes even before the advent of AUTOSAR. Throughout the project flow, changes and improvements to requirements, design modifications, and adjustments to architecture are made. AUTOSAR has standardized the specification format for describing various design assets, which has allowed for a clear definition of how to implement the steps in the development process. The AUTOSAR standard, supported by advanced tools, is used in various product development fields and has proven effective. In product development projects, achieving smooth data exchange between tools without losing design information is a challenge. In particular, interoperability between architecture design tools and model-based design tools is emphasized when developing functional software and individual software components. [Case Study] Front Beam Shape Optimization by FIAT

Introduction of a case where automatic exploration of the optimal shape for the chassis part of a vehicle was achieved!

We would like to introduce a case study from FIAT that applies our "modeFRONTIER" to the shape optimization of the chassis part of vehicles. By using material properties and dimensions as design variables, we are exploring designs that maintain energy absorption rates during collisions while being lightweight. However, applying collision phenomenon simulations to automated exploration calculations was highly burdensome. Therefore, we first simulated 90 designs using the Latin hypercube method with simulation tools, generated a response surface based on the results obtained, and applied that approximation function as a virtual solver to automatically search for the optimal solution. 【Case Study】 ■ Software Used: modeFRONTIER, MSC.Nastran, Raddioss ■ Objective: To explore lightweight designs that maintain energy absorption rates during collisions ■ Challenge: The burden of applying collision phenomenon simulations to automated exploration calculations is high ■ Methodology - Simulated 90 designs using the Latin hypercube method with simulation tools - Generated a response surface - Applied the approximation function as a virtual solver ■ Result: Achieved automatic exploration of the optimal solution *For more details, please refer to the external link or feel free to contact us.

A message-passing machine learning force field with DFT-level accuracy accelerates organic, inorganic, and hybrid material simulations with high precision.

Machine learning force fields, also known as "machine learning interatomic potentials," have emerged as an important tool for achieving cost-effective atomic-level simulations of diverse chemical systems, often achieving accuracy comparable to density functional theory (DFT) at significantly lower computational costs. Recent advancements in message-passing networks have overcome the challenge faced by traditional MLFFs of being limited in the types of elements they can accommodate. Furthermore, the introduction of atomic charges and electrostatic interactions using charge equilibration methods allows for precise reproduction of multiple charge states, ionic systems, and electronic response characteristics, achieving even higher accuracy by explicitly considering long-range interactions. Our MLFF architecture, "MPNICE," incorporates explicit electrostatics for accurate charge representation. We also provide a set of pre-trained models trained on materials covering the entire periodic table (89 elements). MPNICE emphasizes high throughput performance, enabling long-duration and large-scale atomic-level simulations that were difficult to achieve with traditional methods while maintaining high accuracy.
