High-speed, lightweight, compact Ethernet switch for satellites.
TTTech, headquartered in Austria, is a company that has built a track record with various space agencies such as NASA in the United States, ESA in Europe, and CSA in Canada, and has also delivered experimental equipment to Japan's JAXA. It achieves 1Gbps high-speed Ethernet communication in areas where high weather resistance is required, such as launchers and lunar orbiting crewed bases (Gateway).
In addition to standard Best Effort Ethernet, it provides Time-Triggered Ethernet (TTEthernet) functionality that can be applied to safety-critical systems. This allows for the transmission and reception of important and real-time communication data alongside Best Effort communication data over a single network (with a minimum latency of 1μs level).
The standard configuration includes 12 Ethernet ports with 4×1Gbps + 8×100Mbps, and for applications requiring more connected devices, it is possible to add 8×100Mbps ports to use a total of 20 Ethernet ports.
