Solution Case - Utilization as a Low-Temperature Trap at -100°C
Recovery of low boiling point solvents (such as diethyl ether and methylene chloride [dichloromethane]) is also possible!
We would like to introduce an example of using the "Ultra-Low Temperature Reaction Machine UC Reactor UCR-150N-S" that we handle as a cooling trap at -100℃. When drying samples in a vacuum dryer, it is common to use an electric cooler at around -20℃ before the vacuum pump. In cases where the solvent has a low boiling point, dry ice/acetone (-78℃) or liquid nitrogen (-196℃) may also be utilized. The ultra-low temperature trap using UCR combines the "UCR-150" with a dedicated aluminum block for cooling traps, allowing for safe and accurate cooling down to -100℃. The aluminum block can be manufactured to meet customer needs. 【Current Issues】 ■ Insufficient cooling temperature damaging the vacuum pump or releasing into the environment ■ The dry ice that was supposed to last overnight is completely gone by the next morning ■ The trap temperature rises, causing all the solvent that was carefully collected to evaporate again *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
