NK Valve
The NK valve (NK-bend) is a revolutionary valve that can completely shut off gas. It is resistant to dust and has excellent shut-off characteristics.
- Due to its special valve body structure, it can remove dust adhered to the seat surface and is widely used for valves for by-product gases such as blast furnace gas (BFG), coke oven gas (COG), and converter gas (LDG) generated from equipment in steelworks that contain a large amount of dust. - The double block structure allows for non-leak, complete isolation, and it can also be used as a water seal valve to ensure further safety. - The valve body (valve box) is spherical in shape, which provides a large gas passage area, smooth flow, and minimal pressure loss. - It has a proven track record of delivery to steelworks across the country, with few failures, and there are active valves that have been in service for over 50 years while undergoing overhauls. - When used as a water seal valve, it does not require a large installation space like a V-shaped water seal pipe, and the amount of water needed for the seal is minimal, making it environmentally friendly and allowing for simplification of foundations, etc. - By using NK valves in the currently promoted double block system, it becomes easy to install closing flanges in the downstream section.
