Introduced early and operating smoothly! Even when the hopper's slope cannot be sufficiently secured, it promotes the outflow of powder and granules.

This is an introduction to trouble cases caused by insufficient hopper inclination (rest angle) to secure hopper capacity. The user installed an upward conical part near the hopper discharge area to disperse powder pressure, but this did not resolve the issue, leading to their inquiry. Upon reviewing the hopper diagram and powder sample, we determined that there was no significant risk and provided a countermeasure proposal using our equipment. Albemarle Corporation in Chile holds the second largest share in the world as a producer of lithium chloride and lithium carbonate extracted from brine. The production process begins with treating natural brine pumped from the center of the Atacama Salt Flat and takes place in pools exposed to the intense sunlight of the Atacama Desert. The lithium concentration of the natural brine used by Albemarle is about 0.2%, but it is increased through evaporation by sunlight, circulating through different pools until the concentration reaches 6%. The concentrated brine is transported by tanker truck to the La Negra chemical plant in Antofagasta. Here, the brine extracted from the Atacama Salt Flat undergoes purification and chemical processing, resulting in the production of lithium carbonate batteries used in electronic devices, electric vehicles, and safety equipment.
