This is a water-based polyimide varnish with improved handling properties (aqueous, low viscosity), enabling high heat resistance and chemical resistance polyimide coatings on various substrates.

Our water-based polyimide varnish utilizes polyamic acid generated by regenerating unnecessary polyimide film during polyimide film processing through a unique chemical treatment, making it an "NMP completely free water-based polyimide varnish." After application to the substrate, this product forms a polyimide resin coating with an imidization rate of over 90% upon drying and curing. Coating on substrates that were previously unprocessable due to the influence of "NMP" solvents can now be considered. Contributing to the achievement of SDGs through film recycling! This is an environmentally friendly polyimide varnish made from recycled polyimide film that becomes unnecessary during manufacturing, eliminating NMP.

Polyimide varnish has characteristics of high heat resistance and chemical resistance, making it suitable for a wide range of fields and applications, including high-temperature sliding parts and related components for automobiles and aircraft, heat-resistant coatings, special adhesives, and wire coatings. Its use is expected to continue in the future, leveraging these features. Our water-based polyimide varnish utilizes polyamic acid generated by uniquely chemically processing polyimide film that becomes unnecessary during polyimide film processing. It is a water-based polyimide varnish that does not use NMP, which is commonly used as a solvent. This initiative contributes to achieving the SDGs through "using unnecessary polyimide film as raw material (REUSE)" and "reducing VOCs through water-based formulation." This product is expected to further improve performance and reduce environmental impact in fields that require high heat resistance and chemical resistance. Additionally, it has excellent handling properties due to its stability at room temperature and low viscosity, comparable to general functional coatings. ■NMP Free This is a highly safe material that does not contain NMP (N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone), a solvent commonly used in polyimide varnishes. NMP has a high reproductive toxicity classification of 1B under GHS and is classified as an SVHC (Substance of Very High Concern) under the EU chemical regulation REACH. ■Excellent Durability - Heat Resistance, Mechanical Strength, Electrical Properties, Chemical Resistance This material has high durability comparable to that of conventional solvent-based polyimide varnishes. ■Reduction of VOC and CO2 Emissions - Prevention of Air Pollution, Mitigation of Global Warming Since it does not contain the organic solvent NMP, it is expected to reduce VOC (volatile organic compounds) and indirectly lower CO2 (carbon dioxide) emissions. ■Utilization of Recycled Resources - Consideration for SDGs, Circular Economy, Green Chemistry, etc. There is a sustainable lineup that utilizes scraps from polyimide films. ■Can be Stored at Room Temperature Conventional solvent-based polyimide varnishes require low-temperature storage in refrigeration or freezing to maintain quality, but this product has high stability and can be stored at room temperature.
