"First in Japan to Apply 'Approval Within BIM Model'" The major general contractor, Takenaka Corporation, has completely eliminated traditional 2D detailed drawings and was the first in Japan to apply "Approval Within BIM Model." "We accomplished everything with the Tekla model instead of creating detailed drawings. The approval process has been shortened for both the general contractor and the steel fabricator due to the approval within the model, leading to a reduction in the creation of detailed drawings," they discussed the effects.
