[Case Study: Manufacturing Subsidy] Introduction of a 3D printer for in-house production of prototypes.

We have become able to create product models that meet the high quality and high precision demanded by customers in line with actual conditions!

We would like to introduce a case where a construction materials trading company utilized a manufacturing subsidy to solve challenges. The issue was that without owning a 3D printer, outsourcing product models took over two weeks, making it difficult to conduct timely proposal sales, resulting in lost opportunities. In order for our company to improve management capabilities and grow as a building materials trading company, it was necessary to shift from outsourcing to in-house production to shorten the lead time for product models and reduce costs, so we introduced a high-performance 3D printer. [Overview] ■ Implementation: Construction materials trading company ■ Background: Shortening lead time for product models, in-house production ■ Solution: In-house production through the introduction of a high-performance 3D printer *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Using a 3D printer to iterate prototypes and create the final product.

During the prototyping stage, we used a 3D printer to verify the shape and strength while fabricating the final product with PA12 material.

We spoke with Mr. Kishi, the representative director of Kishitec Co., Ltd., which has been specializing in mechanical design using 3D CAD since its establishment. They are capable of creating 3D data from clay models and similar shapes, as well as reverse engineering, and they produce high-precision models, jigs, measuring instruments, and industrial products from 3D data. They consulted DMM.make for manufacturing using Jet Fusion during the prototyping stage of bicycle accessories. ■ Use Cases 3D CAD data is utilized for a wide range of applications, including as alternative methods for extrusion molding, casting, machining, injection molding, molds, and formwork, as well as for molding small parts of IoT products and finished goods.

Digital Metal: Its Process and Components of Manufacturing Costs

Metal 3D printing creates products by layering materials from CAD data. This document introduces the elements of each process and the cost factors for part manufacturing.

Metal 3D printing, unlike traditional methods that use molds or cutting tools to carve out material from a solid block, directly shapes products by adding layers of material from CAD data. Additionally, Digital Metal's binder jetting (BJT) method differs from other methods such as laser techniques, as it does not melt the material during the entire process. Instead, it imparts the necessary characteristics of the final product during the sintering process, which occurs below the melting point of the material after shaping. This document introduces each step of the process and the factors affecting the cost of component manufacturing. The greatest benefits can be obtained by not viewing metal 3D printing as an extension of traditional methods, but by discovering products that can only be realized through metal 3D printing.

Reduce lead time and costs for sand casting with a 3D printer for casting.

There is not much difference between 3D printers for casting and traditional casting methods using basic wooden patterns. Would you like to take the first step in utilizing this together with our company?

A 3D printer for casting is a modeling method that imports 3D data created using CAD and directly shapes sand molds (such as cores and main molds). It is often referred to as a mold 3D printer or core molding machine, and it can shorten the lead time for producing wooden or resin molds needed for complex shapes, as well as for sand preparation and mold assembly before casting. Rather than relying solely on 3D printers, we recommend a hybrid operation that leverages the advantages of existing methods, the benefits of 3D printing, and your company's strengths and weaknesses. **Features of Utilizing 3D Data and 3D Printers:** - It is possible to create casting 3D data by 3D scanning the product shape even without wooden molds. - For complex-shaped cores, many wooden molds are unnecessary, leading to reduced manufacturing lead times, lower management and storage costs, and shortened assembly time and labor for cores. - Since 3D data is output, there is less variation, and the imbalance in cast products is also reduced. - 3D data can be used not only for modeling but also for verifying products against drawings. - 3D data can also be utilized for casting simulations and other applications. Why not try using a 3D printer this year? We will support you from data creation onwards.
