Without post-processing all products with paper, it was impossible to improve the yield rate. After introducing the Dacon Anshin SSS model, there were no more contact failures between products, and the defect rate drastically decreased, reaching a profitable level. This is a case study of the introduction of Dacon Anshin to a precision machining company for automotive parts. Before using Dacon Anshin, in the precision machining of automotive parts, products discharged from the machine's conveyor were accumulated in a box filled with oil, using cushioning material, but Dacon defects did not disappear. In the medical device parts precision machining industry, addressing scratches on various products with irregular and tapered shapes was an urgent issue. As a countermeasure, we considered devices utilizing multi-joint robots and loaders; however, these had strong elements of dedicated machines and were costly, ranging from 8 million to 12 million yen. After introducing Dacon Anshin, we were able to arrange one piece per pallet, eliminating the need for setup changes when switching to similar products. Additionally, we were able to equip the system within the customer’s budget of 3 million yen.
