We would like to introduce a case study of the construction of the artificial lightweight material "Super Sol," made from crushed and sintered waste glass, in the context of "lightweight embankment measures for soft ground countermeasures." This project involved embankment work associated with the construction of a new road. As a countermeasure for soft ground, it was necessary to lighten the embankment for the protection of box culverts and to address differential settlement, leading to the use of the environmentally friendly material Super Sol.
