We received an inquiry from a facilities manager at a semiconductor component manufacturer regarding the frequent replacement of medium-performance air filters they use extensively and the difficulties they face in disposing of the used filters. 1. They are currently replacing their filters every six months to a year and were looking for options that last a bit longer. 2. They were troubled by the high costs associated with disposing of the used filters. *The filter materials include three types: the filter medium is glass paper, the separator (to prevent the filter medium from sticking) is aluminum, and the frame is either wood or steel. The disposal costs are high because the waste disposal company has to separate the materials. If the customer attempts to disassemble them, it takes a considerable amount of time, especially since removing the separator is quite challenging.
