Supports overseas labeling items! 【Food Allergen Testing】

Supports labeling of foreign food allergens such as fish, coconut, and mustard! For developing overseas markets.

The export value of agricultural, forestry, fishery products, and food has been increasing year by year, surpassing 1 trillion yen for the first time in 2021. On the other hand, there are concerns about the shrinking domestic market in Japan due to population decline in the future. Against this backdrop, some companies dealing with food are already taking steps to focus on overseas markets, strengthening research and development of products for export, or considering how to add value to existing products for export. However, a barrier to overseas exports is compliance with local labeling regulations. Therefore, our company offers testing services not only for allergens that are subject to labeling in Japan but also for those that are required overseas.

Food allergen testing for cosmetics【Free technical materials available!】

Measures to reduce the risk of food allergy onset due to transdermal sensitization! Comprehensive testing available for 27 food allergens subject to domestic labeling!

Exposure to food allergens through the skin has been reported to trigger food allergy reactions to those foods later on. One of the causes of food allergy onset due to this transdermal sensitization is cosmetics. However, the method widely used for testing food allergens, as notified by the Consumer Affairs Agency, is designed with the premise of targeting food products. Therefore, when testing samples other than food, such as cosmetics, there is a concern that the influence of inhibitory substances not anticipated in food could arise, potentially hindering accurate assessment of the results. In response, our company has accumulated verification data for food allergy (allergen) testing using cosmetics as samples and has established a system to propose testing. 【Technical Documentation Available for Free!】Regarding the application of food allergen testing methods to cosmetic samples To verify whether the food allergen testing method of the Consumer Affairs Agency can also be applied to cosmetic samples, we conducted additive recovery tests. We are currently offering a summary of the results in a technical document for free. ★If you would like the document, please download it from the link below or contact us.

In the testing of eight specific raw materials using the ELISA method, we have implemented an automatic dispensing device to quickly respond to requests for multiple samples.

Specific Raw Materials 7 Items (Screening Test) This is an inspection conducted in accordance with the Consumer Affairs Agency Deputy Director Notification No. 286 dated September 10, 2010. Two types of test kits are used for each inspection item. In cases such as contamination evaluation on food manufacturing lines, inspections can also be conducted using one kit per item. Specific Raw Materials 8 Items (Confirmation Test) Confirmation tests will be conducted on samples that tested positive in the screening tests for specific raw materials. Testing for six items: wheat, buckwheat, peanuts, shrimp, crab, and walnuts will be carried out using the PCR method.
