[Improvement Proposal Example] Earthquake and Flood Prevention Device for Compressors
Improving the possibility of water intrusion and the risk of tipping over in compressors! Introduction of proposal examples.
We would like to introduce a case study of the improvement proposal for the "Earthquake and Flood Protection Device for Compressors" that our company implemented. The compressor, which nearly malfunctioned due to flooding from the typhoon in 2018, was at risk of tipping over during a major earthquake. To address this, we elevated the compressor to a height that would prevent it from getting wet even if seawater flooded the area, and secured it to the wall with S-hooks and chains to prevent it from tipping over during an earthquake. Additionally, we used tension rods to secure the gap between the wall and the compressor, pulling it tight with the chains. As a result, the risk of flooding was reduced, and the danger of tipping over during a major earthquake was minimized.
