[Cutting Report] HORN S45C Machining Example: Comparison of Chip Formation with Different Breakers

The material being machined this time is S45C, and we conducted a cutting operation using three different types of HORN breakers to compare chip processing. As supplementary information, we also measured not only the chips but also the arithmetic average roughness Ra (μm) and the maximum height of the profile Pt (μm). The machining was done under the same conditions, with an insert width of 2.0 mm, a cutting speed of 180 m/min, a constant peripheral speed, and a feed rate of 0.08 mm/rev for comparison.
