The customer did not have engineers strong in firmware development, circuit design, or board design, so they consulted us. They requested not only to meet the functional and reliability specifications but also to produce the board at a low cost. Based on our proposal, the main control board was designed to connect to a PC and function as a communication board that operates based on the operational data created on the PC. This communication is conducted via USB, and the specifications allow for communication with the LCD controller and function tester via RS-232C.
