Suppress floating matter in wastewater! Adding a defoamer to the coagulation–sedimentation tank helps prevent carryover of suspended solids (SS) into the effluent.

There were concerns such as poor floc formation in the wastewater treatment process (sedimentation tank) and suspended solids (SS) floating to the surface due to incomplete floc formation and bubbles, which frequently resulted in SS being discharged to the river. As a solution, we evaluated the effect of adding “Bismer FS-12” and confirmed that it effectively suppressed SS flotation. As an emulsion-type product, it imposes only a low COD load on the treatment system.
