FT-IR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy)
Molecules composed of multiple atoms vibrate in complex ways. These vibrations have characteristic frequencies (natural vibrations, reference vibrations, etc.) specific to the molecular composition. When infrared radiation is applied, these vibrations produce a unique absorption spectrum for the molecule. Based on this spectrum, it is possible to identify substances and perform quantitative analysis using specific absorption bands. This method has become an extremely useful analytical tool for the identification of organic compounds and polymer materials.
