A "reducer" is a device that lowers the rotational speed of a motor using gears to obtain high torque. Our company began production of the "Precision Reducer RV" in 1986. At that time, industrial robots faced various challenges, such as "gears used in joints colliding and breaking" and "excessive vibrations." These issues were affecting productivity and quality assurance in many factories. Listening to our customers' voices, we developed the precision reducer to address these challenges. After thorough consideration of how to solve these problems, we arrived at the reducer designed to move strongly and accurately.
