We will consider additional processing for the bottomed grooves and high hardness materials from the drawings, where tools cannot fit and the depth cannot be reached.
At Hanshin Seiko Co., Ltd., we accept processing of narrow grooves, fine grooves, and deep grooves, primarily focusing on shape-cutting electrical discharge machining. You can consult us about grooves that are difficult for cutting tools to access, specified grooves with small inner corner radii, and additional processing for high-hardness materials after hardening. We will check not only the groove width but also the depth, length, bottom shape, and end shape. We will consider the production and retention of electrodes, interference with surrounding areas, electrode wear, and discharge of machining chips when determining the processing method. For through grooves, we select wire cutting, while for bottom grooves, we choose methods such as shape-cutting electrical discharge machining or machining, depending on the shape. We can also discuss integrated processing, including grinding, as needed. Please contact us with a cross-sectional diagram of the groove, material and hardness, required tolerances, surface roughness, and quantity. For additional processing on existing parts, we will also check the processing standards and the current work condition.
